Procedure

1. Make the base. Arrange Horizontal strips 1 & 2 as shown. Place the longest horizontal strip in the middle. Make sure that all of the strips are centered. Glue the Support strips along both sides as shown.

2. Turn over, and glue Vertical strips along both sides as shown. Make sure they are centered.
3. Flip back to the front side. Take two of the vertical strips and weave as shown, alternating over and under, then push out to either side. Weave the last vertical strip in the center, taking care to reverse the over and under effect. Finally, glue the Reinforcement strips along the top and bottom as shown.
4. Fold all strips upward as shown. Then, Take a weaving strip and place the end behind the second vertical strip and secure with a clip or clothespin. Weave alternately, use clothespins to help keep in place.
5. Slightly fold corners to keep in place.
After weaving the first row cut off any excess and glue.
Make sure that the ends are hidden by the vertical strips.
6. Using  Weaving strips, start the second row at the 3rd vertical strip on the opposite side of the basket to maintain an even thickness. Weave over and under. Repeat with the remaining weaving strips until 5 rows have been woven.

7. For all of the vertical strips on the outside of the top row, fold inward.
8. Cut off excess as necessary and tuck the ends into the 3rd row from the top. Ends should be unseen.
9. Cut off excess as necessary and tuck the ends into the 3rd row from the top. Ends should be unseen.
10. Place the Inner Rim strip between the 5th row strip and the remaining vertical strips for reinforcement as shown.
11. Except Handle strips, all the strips inside of the top row, fold outward, then tuck them into 3rd row.
12. Trim one end of the other Rim strip to make a point. Insert through every other vertical strip as shown. The weave pattern should be the same as the third row from the top.
13. Glue Handle Strip on the inside of the remaining vertical strips, and tuck it all the way down to the Bottom row.
14.Take the end of Handle strip and tuck down to the bottom row on the opposite side of the basket.
15. Apply glue to one end of the Lacing Strip,  then tuck into the rim at a slight angle, as shown.
16. Wrap the Rim Reinforcement Strips with the Lacing Strip at a slight angle as shown.

17. Apply glue to the end of Lacing Strip and tuck into the rim.

18. Place new Lacing Strip under first Lacing Strip.
19. Attach a Weaving Strip as shown, leave about 2cm from one end and wrap Lacing strip 3 times.
20. Repeat step19.

27. Glue the Lacing strip together as shown and it's done!
